We are SH/M Clothing and we are on a mission to create the next generation of sustainable + genderless clothing.

Fundamentally, we see two major flaws in the way today’s fashion industry works.

First, fashion is one of the most damaging industries to our environment. According to the United Nations, this one industry alone contributes between 2-10% of the world’s carbon emissions, almost as much as the European Union. Not to mention the amount of water it takes to produce the cotton for just one t-shirt - 2,700 litres of water to be precise. As much as an average person drinks in three years!

Second, we think fashion is still too prominent in the way it defines our gender identity. We should all be able to shop in the same places, get excited about the same collections and share the same clothes, whether we see ourselves as men, women or non binary.

The good news is that we believe both challenges can be addressed in the way we design, produce, market, sell and use the next generation of clothing.

And that is why we want to profoundly re-imagine modern clothing from the ground up to be genuinely sustainable but also fully genderless - transcending boundaries and inspiring what it means to be both feminine, masculine, or anything in between.

And that is precisely why we created SH/M Clothing.
